These two bowls are well over 100 years old. Their significance lies in being used for one single meal by Dr. Sun Yat-Sen, the first president and founding father of the Republic of China. He came to our small town to raise funds to overthrow the Qing Dynasty just before the Chinese revolution of 1912. My grandfather was a cook at the restaurant and he kept these bowls as souvenirs which are now passed to me. (5 years and 2502 days ago)

My Grandma bought this gown while expecting her 8th child, maybe hoping for a girl... she had a boy! Her next was also a boy... as it turns out, I was the first girl to be born into the family after the dress was bought so it was passed down to me. I wore it, my sister wore it and my 3 daughters wore it as a baptism gown. It is now behind glass awaiting *someday* my own granddaughters :) (5 years and 3326 days ago)
