My granddaughter Katie was taking a nap on a lounge chair on our porch. I couldn't resist taking this picture that shows her totally relaxed. Katie still is unaware that I ever took this photo of her napping. (5 years and 738 days ago)

I like the title of this piece, it is so on the button. As you know titles can make or break a sale at a gallery showing and titles are part of the creative process. My eye keeps going to the rice that is stuck on her mouth, if the site allowed it could be cloned out, maybe when you present this as a gift to her you could clone out the white rice to make a stronger image. Love the skin tones, well done.

author says:

Thank you for your comment. I"m glad you like the image. What appears to be a small grain of rice on her mouth is actually a small diamond stud. That's why I didn't clone it out.

Beautiful, where is it and how did you get the background so clean?

author says:

This is in Hue, Vietnam. I shot this against the sky and cropped tightly to eliminate a tree an billboard.

photonut says:

think the plain background helps bring this to life and wonder what the thinking was behind this statue

author says:

Thank you , I do not know what was behind the thinking of this statue as the plaque was written in Vietnamese.

It's great that even with the white background, there is so much detail.
