This house is at Flatford, Suffolk, UK. The location is where Constable painted the Haywain. It is an unspoilt part of the countryside and relatively unchanged since the day John Constable painted the scene. (5 years and 2243 days ago)

This is in the south of France, where temperatures are moderate and the stone helps to keep it cool in the heat of the summer. Of course, you would have to have servants to do the dusting, cleaning and cooking.
