ISO:200 F:22 Shutter: 25sec.
If this was my intended effect I would be chuffed but I admit it was more of an accident when I experimented with setting using the attached light ring.
As you can see in the SBS the light ring is made up from recently dug out christmas lights. (5 years and 3010 days ago)
Nice idea, but "Goal in this contest is to photograph something (like an eye) which reflects the homemade light of the ring light."
not sure if your photos does that. Love the effect though.
The intention was to have more of the fairy lights, I used for the ring light, reflecting in the silver and glass of the rose. However its not as obvious as I would have liked. But since very faintly you can see spots of reflected, red, green and blue in the silver, as well as the colour distortion all around formed from the lights close to the front of the lens. I am pretty sure this is on theme.

One of those shots I think I'll never be able to make... sigh...
Oh oh, I think I guessed how you did it....
you tell me cause all I know is I was dropping pills out of a bottle with one hand and snapping the shot with the other. LOL There was about 8 or 9 shots before I saw I had one worth entering and I was really happy with this one. I don't have all that nice equipment most pro's have so I just try and hope for the best. 
but I'd love to know how you thought I did it cause I'm always willing to find EASIER ways of doing stuff.

Although I do admit the image on the back of the trailer is pretty cool and worth a memorabilia shot along with following theme. I do not believe there is anything that sticks out as impressive about the photograph (angle, focus, etc,,,.). Sorry, GL in the future.

Beautiful rose, but OOF, the focus is just behind it.
it is i agree...but have u tried the high resolution pic...it is slightly better.
I did, and there you could really see that the focus was on the stem, not the flower.
You don't need high res to tell it's OOF.
