This is a a very old church in Suffolk uk,it now stands on the edge of pakefield on the edge of the beach there,the sea has eroded a lot of this coastline over the years so at some point it could disappear into the sea,hopefully not for a long time,it did suffer a bit of damage during ww11 but its still going strong as a lot of these old churches do in the uk. An important building in Christchurch New Zealand, since late 1800.
Badly damaged in the September 2010 and February 2011 earthquakes. Since then discussions have been running hot on the subject on restoration. Finally this month, it has been decided, it will be restored. (5 years and 574 days ago)

With its magnificent dome, the Berlin Cathedral is definitely one of the capital’s crowd pullers.
Located in the northern area of the Spree Island, many of the buildings that were previously located here date all the way back to the 15th century.
In the 19th century, the ruling family of Germany, the house of Hohenzollern, was living right next door in the Berlin Castle and they thought that Schinkel’s rather modest domed cathedral no longer corresponded to the image they wanted to project of their family. King Frederick William IV thus decided that a magnificent cathedral should be built. The cornerstone of the current representative church was laid in 1894, the inauguration took place in 1905. The cathedral suffered major damage during World War II. In 1975, the GDR began to restore it, which was not completed until four years after reunification in 1993.

The outside of this church was built in the 14th century in Suffolk uk,but in the 17th century the local people decided it was to big so they stripped some of the church down and built a smaller version inside the existing church and it is still being use to this day (5 years and 581 days ago)
