So extracted (very rough) from original photo, used fill flash after the make-up was done as not to cast many shadows because I knew how I wanted to edit this piece.

Rotated photo slightly, added in a standard fill option from PS for the background and cleaned up around the edges.

Ran it through high pass filter a few times and then brushed in some details I missed, added a halftone layer.
