My photos are of Anthony Gormley’s ‘Another Place’. In Crosby, UK. I used these two photos to create a background behind the man. I wanted the birds to be in a position to be seen through the glass man.

I made the background wider than the original photo to allow space for a second man.
I made the man see-through using the tutorial: http://www.worth1000.com/tutorials/161014/tutorial as a base.
I distorted the background behind the man (making and applying a displacement map) guided by the same tutorial.
Next I used the pen tool to draw highlights and painted some more.

I inserted the original man flipped horizontally. Finally I added a bird, duplicating, flipping and resizing it to make a shadow in the sea, from another of my photos.
