Needed a tree in leaf if I was to use poppies so used this one. Arranged over the tree in the source image. Kept the hedge as well.

Found suitable poppy field. eventually duplicated it about 3 times and merged to get the effect I wanted.

Found black and white pic of war cemetery. It took HOURS to carfully isolate each cross - there must be an easy way but I don't know it yet!

This is the finished result. Much blending and levels used throughout the process.
