That guys feet left the island quite a mess. Let's give it a lovely castle instead of repairing the island. Thanks to www.danbrady.co.uk for the castle.

I used a patche of the sky as a transparent overlay to help the castle blend a bit better with the island.

Used a basic masking and more cloning to get rid of the rest of the folks and junk on the beach.

Bring in the stars! A new layer, make noise, blur, adjust threshold, blur again.
Also adjust the color of whats left of our original image to make it look dark and night like.

Plug in a moon and some minor glowing via a transparent layer below the moon and above the background, and tadaa! a very lovely peopleless beach scene.
