step 1 of 7

I started with a couple of pieces of ceiling, merged, blended and then used brightness/contrast. I used that to fill in my sketch of a tiger.

Creation of Heart of a Tiger: Step 1

step 2 of 7

Again, two different pieces of ceiling, merged, blended, then color adjustment and brightness/contrast. I also took that piece, desaturated and upped the brightness for the white. Filled in my sketch of a cat.

step 3 of 7

Parts of the stone wall, merged, blended, color adjustment, copies, merged, blended and stretched.

Creation of Heart of a Tiger: Step 3

step 4 of 7

A piece of paneling from the ceiling, color adjustment, warp, copied, merged and more copy-merge.

Creation of Heart of a Tiger: Step 4

step 5 of 7

More paneling, enlarged for the utility pole. Used that for the fence, desaturating a small amount. Also used it to build the barn.

Creation of Heart of a Tiger: Step 5

step 6 of 7

I took part of the light bulb and used burn to make the moon. I used gaussian blur on the light for the moon's glow. I made the shadows by copying the object, flipping it, pushing the levels all the way to black, distorting it and then using gaussian blur and adjusting the opacity.

Creation of Heart of a Tiger: Step 6

step 7 of 7

I started with three copies of the tiger. The top layer was 50% opacity with inner glow. The middle layer was set at 25% opacity. The bottom layer I used gaussian blur and then erased the middle using a layer mask, just leaving the fuzzy edges. I then merged all the layers and reduced the opacity to 50%. For the cat, I desaturated a small amount and used adjustment layer-levels.
