First masked the ropes to create the hair later

Placed my outside source the way I wanted, so I could use them as reference.

Used the wooden part of the drum. Blurred it and the applied a photo filter

Now the fun part!
Masked the wood then used burn and dodge to create the face.
Eyebrows done with the tablet.

Eyes done in photoshop, using my tablet, burn and dodge.

Used the wooden part of the other drum to do the tongue.
Applied a photo filter and played with hue/saturation and brightness/contrst. Again worked using burn and dodge.

used the white part of the drum to do the teeth.
Masked it then applied a slight yellow photo filter. Burn and dodge.
Gums were painted in photoshop.

Masked the upper part of the cord.
Applied a red photo filter, copied and pasted it several times, then merged them.
Warp to finish.

Then merged them all and used burn and dodge.

Using the outside source t-shirt I created a displacement map.
To do so I had to take out the writing on the t-shirt and also make it one colour.

Finished work with 3 layers and different blendings and opacities.

Again used the blurred drum base for the arms.

copied and pasted the nail parts, then played with hue/saturation then brightness/contrast.
Worked on the arm and hand using burn and dodge.

Used the smaller drum.
Free transform and warp to get the right perspective.

Lower part of the small drum used to create the pants.
Photo filter, then burn.

Used the cords I had masked for the dreadlocks.

Masked the dreadlock in front, added and warped some more behind the head, then applied a photo filter to them.

This part was used to create an earing. Only rotated it, masked it then applied a yellow photo filter.

Again used the wodden part of the big djembe to create the sand.
Scaled it , then blur than photo filter and brightness.

Same work for the sea.
This time applied a blu filter and scaled it differently.

To create the sky I exaggerated the vertical scale and blurred it more.
Brightness to its maximum.
