Block in the drawing with the colours you want to use.

I always like to the eyes first. If I can get the eyes right everything else seems to follow.

Now ... decide where the light source is to be. Then get a mirror and put it by the side of the screen. All i did was use burn and dodge while i was pulling faces in the mirror and mimic on screen.

After face ... the hair ...

for the fireball ... use a splatter brush ... white first ... then yellow on the outside of the white and red on the outside to that. Start to blur to the desired effect. Top up the glare off the fireball on the subject.
