HOLY CRAP, it's a small, wild world indeed!
Just had the most interesting day! May be getting a new plane out of the deal too! My partner found a note on the Queen last night. some guy named Jake, was interested in buying her and wanted to talk with us and left his phone number. We called Jake this morning and found out that the Queen Air was the plane he took his twin training and check ride in. Not just any Queen, OUR QUEEN, back when it lived in Nebraska. And Jake was living in Stockton, CA, about 120 miles north of us. Jake flew down, in his Piper Cheyenne I, to see us today. Jake turned out to be a pretty spry old guy about 75yo and sharp as a tack. He wanted to fly the Queen. How could we say no, this guy flew this plane 20 some years ago. So as we flew around and talked to Jake we found that he owned about a dozen planes and was really keen on buying the Queen. He let us fly his Cheyenne, and after all was said and done Jake flew home to think over our offer to him. We said we would trade him the Queen for the Cheyenne and we would pay him $1500/month for 36 months, and put him on the insurance. He said he just might do that! He said he would let us know in a day or two. Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend.
