I was wondering if we might be able to get it to where the author of a picture can give 1 thumbs up for those that comment/congratulate a picture after the contest is over. That way you can show your appreciate for those that took the time to go back to a picture to give some nice words. i feel bad that they took the time to comment and I can't give antyhing but a thanks back to them.

This is right.. sometimes I don't get time to go to my entries on the weekends and miss the opportunity of thanking and appreciating some really good comments from the people.

But dont we get email notification when we receive comments on any of the entries whether its in running contests or old ones ?

we are not talking about the closed contests or comments. We are emphasizing here on the voting system. What happens is if you enter your entry as soon as the contest starts say the contest starts on Thursday and you've entered your work on Friday and people can start voting your entry, then as the days goes by more entries are entered. Next Friday, when the submission date is closed and the contest is on voting mode, you'll find that your entry is near the end and the latest entered entry is on the first page. So, you've got votes which were voted all through the week and the newer entries will get only a couple of days. Though you've received more votes than the newer entries the chances are there that people may won't go to your entry's page, say like your entry is on 9th or 11th page. It is a disadvantage to you as well.

So, what we are asking is let the voting mode starts after the submission mode is closed and all entries should be visible on just one page in thumbnail views with voting meter below it. This way all the entries will get equal number of voting time and will be fair for everybody.

oh yeah.. i got it iquraishi. and i agree with you all.. as far as visibility of all photos in one page is concerned.. we can see all photos in one page if we open any single photo.. and i am sure you know this. ok we can request for voting meter below each photos that are open in one page. but what i doubt is that if photos are in thumbnail forms then for judging and voting correctly you have to open each photo to see it in larger format. If there is any idea that photos are larger as well as in one page with vote meter below each.. then i would like it.
One more thing.. if i open each photo serially then all photos don't come up serially. Some time same photos i have already voted come again while some of unvoted photos don't come . So such pattern must be corrected as its very much irritating and for that reason i miss my vote medals so frequently lol thats why i open one photo 1st then i open each of thumbnail separately to vote correctly...

I was just wanting the author to have the ability to give 1 rep point for those that come back to a picture after the contest is over and compliment them or congratulate them or whatever as a way to say "thanks for stopping by and commenting after the contest is over"
