langstrum.. i have a wireless graphire home.. and never use the mouse.. don't get the point to it.

Anyway.. we ALL (my coleagues ) suggested the Cintiq when the order was placed.. but the high price and narrowminded ppl from aquisition dep... u know :). They basicaly ordered this tablets, because we had to clean some building pictures of cables.. for a brochure..
The Cintiq in my local currency was about 10000 lei on the price list.. and the Intuos that they ordered was 2400.. so it's a lot cheaper... but still :)
Hope they'll get cheaper someday and i'll have enough money to by one for myself. :YMSIGH:

What a coincidence, I just got a new intuos via fedex as well!

It seems like most of you have used tablets for a long time so I was wondering if you guys use anything to cover your tablet at all? I've heard that the nibs on the pen wear down fast due to the rough paper-like texture on the tablet, and I don't plan on buying replacement nibs.
Thanks for the links Arca provided, worked for me :-D

Also I doubt the Cintiq will be that much cheaper in the future since Wacom doesn't have any close competitors unlike the computer industry :-S

Replacement nibs are cheap. My older Intuos has a very smooth surface. If yours is rough, you may be able to get a smooth one. Their service people are very helpful.

You can get a Surface Sheet that sticks on the drawing plate of the tablet. Here is where I got mine when the one that came with the tablet got a scratch
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=31501&vpn ... ture=Wacom

Also, CMYK is right ... the nibs are not that expensive. Here is a link for where I got mine

This company is in Canada but I think they sell to the US and they may sell internationally. If not, I am sure once you know what to look for you can find it somewhere that does.:D

Have to admit that I do use the mouse as I was having a weird problem when I used any another (wireless) one. My screen kept zooming in and out and the keyboard acted screwy as well ... and not when I wanted it to ...very frustrating. When it happened I was lucky if I could even save what I was working on. BAH! :YMTONGUE: I ended up turning off the ExpressKeys and Touch pads on the Wacom. That and using the Wacom Mouse seemed to fix the problem.

It is definitely not the best Mouse in the world but it's not too bad it you set the size of the drawing area smaller!!!
