Well fille this does not mean that all other members new or old timers do not stand an equal chance at winning...it's not always about the winning anyway.

for me it's never for winning - i always know when i am better or not, no need to see results... i think question is not that here

time, isn't it?

not for me. One week for an entry is plenty time for everyone. And if I decide to upload an old entry I surely will not work on it for a week. Maybe adjust it to fit a new contest, nothing more.

same I just check all the image source links and email the authors if i have to before i post it.

I just can see where that idea comes from because imagine what some ppl can do with more time.. Dont you aggree that those that allready uplaod those stunning entries can even amaze us more with more time? (and yes newbs can amaze us too if they are given more time) just thinking about it.. doesnt even have to be a cash contest heck why not do that for a good cause contest eh? XD

guys i dont like the concept of re-use.if the site wont have crash and imagine tht if there was a contest started with an older source ,wud u have re-used?obviously there wud have been the part of guidelines .i can see some users post the link to their portal's galary where they have added the old entry ,i really love their idea,in this way we not only get to know their past work and their creditibility of not reusing.its completely their choice.others may have different point of view.
The old entries are simply amazing and rightly said it gives them extra time to work more.
I didnt wanted to offend any user but just made a suggestion.

As I stated in the other thread (viewtopic.php?f=9&t=299&p=12386#p12386 re use of old entries from pst days) "I think it would be okay to rerun a contest, but entries should be new. For example: If the hornet nest (http://www.pxleyes.com/photoshop-contes ... -nest.html) contest was brought back up for next weeks contest, that would be ok (kinda boring though), but I would submit a completely new manipulation for it, not use the one I already made for that contest."
