I was with my aunt and my two younger brothers and we were talking about how it is to fly (my aunt was the only one among us who flew). At one time I mentioned something I heard somewhere about some flight companies, something they do before you take off. At this point one of my brothers said something I found to be cute:
"So, if you fly a lot you'll get cavities"
Now the question is why would he say that? based of course on what we talked earlier.

If you consider this is not a trivia question, feel free to "jump in" with a another one. :)

You're right sigi, they offer candies so you would swallow all the time. Upon take off airpressure changes causing your ears to get clogged. This problem is solved when you swallow. I explained the best way I knew. :D

Pinching your nostrils shut while trying to force air through them... valsalva maneuver, This forces air into the eustachian tubes and equalizes the pressure.
, works great also.
