Thank you Madam, I wish the light was better but i had to snap the shot. Got a bunch of her sitting on the branch and others of the male pointing his butt at me and looking over his shoulder.
Currently i have found at least 5 Eagle nesting sites and 1 Osprey for sure. All seem very healthy and are breeding.
I have a need for more glass now!! Maybe a 500mm with a doubler. So many things and so little funding lol. Currently I can zoom to 400 - 600mm max and it is not enough anymore.
I love bird photography, a new hobby for me.

Keep after it Dawg, you'll get the right shot soon I'm sure. I see a couple of Eagles from my back porch sometimes, off in the distance. I wish I had a high power scope/lens to really look at 'em. A nice telescope would be choice...making my Santa list early. :d

We have a pair of wedgetailed eagles nesting somewhere in our area, but I only see them way up in the sky, you can tell what they are by their distinctive tails :d

The ones I see are large American Bald Eagles. They are a distinctive bird very majestic in flight. This pair has not gotten any closer to me than 2 or 3000 yds ( 2800m) or so. I can tell by their white heads and the shape / color of the tails, yes the tail, that's how I distinguish them from Turkey Buzzards which are very close in size and wing span. I wish i knew a way to draw them nearer too me.

chappy a big fish maybe. Check out down by the river in the morning and late afternoon.
That 1 I shot was close to the highway prolly looking for road kill.
Opportunists these fine birds are. Getting close is very special imo.
Tell Santa you want the best lol. Those spotting scopes are not cheap either.
madamemonty those Wedgetails are cool too.
Many times I find these birds around carrion. They all are opportunists and in the early spring they will be close to there nests.
