i feel that there should be a gallery for posting the PST entries.Re-using is really bad,it gives no scope of improvisation.there should also be options for commenting and adding sbs & adding those images to fav.i can see many users using their previously made pst entries and most of them getting comments "good to see this one back" ,getting high votes
atleast for me its demoralising.

@ Razor i agree wid u tht it took lot of efforts to create those entries but they have already competed earlier.thts where i m making a suggestion to have a gallery with all features like a contest excluding the voting.this way we can restore the glory and efforts of so many people and it wud also be really inspirational to view their work,learn from it.

Yes Razor old contests in for now i agree.
Maybe if you had been here before the crash and lost everything you might feel a little different.
Kudos to Mrm for doing this.
Like razor said it won't be long and it is possible to win on old contests with new entries.

I miss my old entries. The idea with the gallery is not bad, but to get my portfolio back there have to be votes and talent points earned. I don't see why this shouldn't be fair, as we had them before, too.

How about making every week one or two "old contests" were members can upload their old entries again. Everyone can participate if they want and get a fair chance. But it's really to get our portfolios back.

I'd find that very nice.

By the way, are there already old contests? Have not seen one, but Raz0r said "lets keep the old contests in". Are they marked in any way as "old"?

Yes there are old contest every week for the time being.
4 i think and then 8 new ones.
The old ones are at the bottom of each weeks contests

i think they are the newer old contests deri.. i didnt participated inany i have seen either.. im just wanting to be able to submitt old entries i made in the past and that have dissapeared in the crash submit again in contests if they meet the requeierments.. ppl do that allready i notice often so...

Ah, I see. I thought there were special contest for the old entries. I really don't see why we shouldn't be able to upload old entries to running contests where they fit in. I also don't see why this should be unfair to new members. The voting on old entries will be exactly as if it was a new entry. Otherwise it would be unfair and therefore lose votepower.

I understand the resentment of nehayash a bit, maybe you think that with old entries we can earn talent points without work. But it's not really like that, the work we did, long ago, and entering the images again does not only mean a CHANCE to earn our talent points back in a new contest (a once winning entry does not mean it will win again against new contestants), but also A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO GET OUR PORTFOLIOS BACK.

Why is this demoralising for you, nehayash? Members that once created a winning entry can do that again, you are not competing against entries, you are competing against other members and photoshoppers. And you will improve your work no matter what entries others upload.

I just wish that some of the old contest's that I managed to do well in would come back around.

only situation is absolutely different... or not? some contests come now up, where some high levelled users was in.. and if they have theyr work in PSD, then... they have extra time to do something with those, no? (we don't need to talk about anonymous-stuff - i believe anyone can predict authors in something 90% works) this is very similar for Razor's idea from 'extra time club' - i will like it better with new contest then... i'm thinking..
