In order to avoid bad source contest,or/and theme contest it will be great and simple to have a YES-NO vote option under every suggestion.Commenting on each source suggestion is quite boring and take too much time regarding the large amount of crappy source.For the theme suggestion i think commenting is usefull but it lead to nothing if it can't help to improve the idea or modify a detail.This way more people could involve in the choice of contest and we could avoid bad surprise and deceptions.
What do you think about it?

Excellent idea, but maybe also keep it anonymous so that people don;t start making an entry when they see the votes swinging in one direction. Great idea though..

Oh, how about just living with the theme & PS contest selections from week to week? Sometimes they suck, sometimes they don't, but it all evens out. You may not be inspired by a contest while someone else is, and vice versa.
Instead, suggest pics or themes you feel would make the best contests!

thank you guys ,i never thought about it, thank you so much.But the main purpose of this idea is to choose contest in a smarter way,if 90 % of members want a source i don't like,it's my problem,but at least i think i'm gonna see some interesting things,on the opposite,if the same amount of members don't want a source it means something ,

Yeah, you're gonna see interesting things either way. Don't try to make things more complicated, they're complicated enough already.

You know you can go and comment on the suggestions that have already been suggested. I have a feeling that if you did, the contest suggestion that get mentioned would probably more than likely get used. I have also noticed very few people comment on the suggested contests currently waiting to be chosen.

I think it's a good idea, regardless if people will see it and try to start on entries early or not. IMHO, we need more 'today web trendy' stuff like this across the site. We are trying to make this site as fun as we can for the users. Having a Digg, YouTube style, red/green, thumbs up/down for the regular contest comments is a good idea as well. Right now the author is the only one that can give any feedback on comments (without commenting), and I guarantee some new users don't even know what that gold/bronze gold thumb really means.
