I'm sick of these motherbleepin' mods on this motherbleepin' train! (...or subway. I dunno). (2 years and 77 days ago)
Your right James, the girl on your left is defiantly chimping, I was just checking my histogram

I disagree about the background. The out of the dark effect is set much better with the dark background. Good choice the first time. Good shot! GL! Reply »
Love it and right on point with the subject.
Agreed with jawshoewhah. I like the black background best. Reply »

To avoid the shadow of the nose in your models face try this...
Place a mirror on the exact oposite direction of the light source (flash in this case i believe).
Mirror will work as a "fill light" using the light from your light source.
That way you'll have a better result with NO shadow on the face & a PRO look on yor photo!!!

Thank you, all. It was definitely pretty spooky in there (especially since I shot on a windy day and the ceiling kept making odd, creaking noises). Reply »

A welder fusing two pieces of metal together. (2 years and 337 days ago)
Or someone's butt-cheeks together?
It's an awesome shot author and I was thinking of the same but I know of no welders so good luck!

dang nice shot, did you set a timer on this? or wear a mask too.
Curious on how you shot it. Reply »
Thank you for your comments, everyone! cabldawg71, I did not set a timer for this. It was taken in my father's garage with dim lighting (but not too dim). I set my exposure for 1/200 and my aperture at about f 5.2. I did in fact wear a facemask and I basically just set my camera for continuous shooting and held the button down while the welder did his thing. After adjusting the contrast a bit in lightroom and cropping it down I was left with the image above. Hope this helps! Reply »

I know some people who do cage fighting. The job being offered, however, is simply being "punched in the face". You don't GET to fight back! :P Reply »
I took CMYK's advice (thanks, buddy!) and made some alterations to the poster edges. Reply »
Thanks, all! I appreciate the 'grats, and I especially appreciate all the helpful advice I was given.

I love this photo! You did an excellent job with the panorama, and I love that there is still writing on the chalkboard, makes the photo so much more interesting! Reply »
