..........this is wonderful....the skin tones, and the colors in the dress are remarkable.......someone in this contest said they did this work professionally, this is way above the entry they have submitted.........keep up the good work. Reply »

Fixed hair, changed color of flower and used a little color in the eyes. Thx for advice. Always welcome

Also has have a tip for you. Cutting or masking the selection should be based on the sharpness of the image. By this I mean how sharp or how much in focus the image is. For example if you blow up an image to 200-300% and see how far the pixels merge or overlap between to objects. It may be in a high resolution image this is only 1 pixel but in a lower resolution or scan of an old photograph with large grain, it may be 3 or 4. It is this “focus” that your image selection should be based on. Reply »

good advice, but you didn't do this in your coat rebuild......there are large differences there... Reply »

Phew! PhotoRepair, I don't think i understand what you mean :-b. Is there a problem with the image? Please let me know

Is it a problem that i cut out everything with the pen tool, and that the edges look too sharp...? Reply »
(2 years and 135 days ago)
author, stick with your instincts, this is a great job, don't be put off by comments. Reply »

You did a great job. I did see that you cut out part of her neck. If you zoom in on the neck you can see the collar bone line is missing from your final image. Reply »
(2 years and 135 days ago)
yes, I see this, I missed it first time. You have mistaken shadow for body line!!...in the original, it is not easy to see, so i think you could be excused.......... Reply »

Yess i can see it now, i'll try to fix it if i still got time, thanks anyway

Thanks adeincyprus & dmspaulding07, fixed it. Boy that was a nasty gap
I was going to print it on a large canvas. Glad i could fix it first. Reply »

Well done! One of the best I've seen. You got the colors perfect! Good luck to you! ![]()
FYI: If your concerned about comments and who you should take advice from, I'd stick with someone who well.. has a higher level, since they probably know what they are talking about. All opinions can be good but when it comes down to it, only yours really matters
2nd opinions are good too.
My opinion? This is a winner

This is definitely one of the most creative and best uses of the source I have seen so far in this contest. Congradulations for finding a subject so fitting to the source and a good blend too. You really don't need it but Good luck all the same

Oh just one other thing. I wanted to mention on your chop skills. I saw your sources used and you really did those photos justice because all of the images sources were not very good quality... until you chopped them
Definitely got my vote for 1st so far.. Reply »

very nice build and idea -- think some texture on the edges of the parts of the head would improve this -- also maybe some shadows being cast from the face parts to the inner parts would give this more depth Reply »
