I did this about 7 years ago, it was for line practice. I never got around to shading or coloring it and to be honest, I never really figured out which would look best on it. The drawing took over a week to do, had to restart a couple of times and lots of erasing along the way.

A good investment if you use colored pencils is the woodless Colour Pencils by Koh-I-Noor, they can be used with normal color pencils, but will give you richer colors. The one draw back is that they do break more easily. (2 years and 217 days ago)
