I've create a new smoke instead of the brush.. I use a black background and draw white lines.. a lot of liquify, motion blur, liquify, fade liquify, blur, other lines, multiply and wrap the leayer with different blends...inverse the final result , put in place and set the layer to multiply mode (5 years and 3279 days ago)

Im curious on how you did the picture. Do you think you could add it to the sbs????
for the picture, just draw a grey rectangle, and draw a face using, dodge, burn, and smudge, I add a white frame... I use polygonal lasso tool to "tear" the picture.. add some shadows, and highlights... Quite simple...
