This is an awesome piece. I really like the secondary pattern created with the background. Very nice work! Reply »

Mircea, you do wonderful 3D work. I especially liked your "Chopper" entry in the get seated contest. 3D is way beyond my patience or understanding, so I think I'll just stick to drawing. That's something I seem to have an eye for and something people seem to enjoy, even if my creative bindings are so tight as to strangle me at times. Reply »

Work of a true artist. This is FABULOUS !!!! It looks like it could be a clip from a movie made at Pixar. You make it look so easy in the SBS. Your a VERY talented artist.
How much time do you have in this?.......GL..........JB Reply »
Thank you for your comments. You're all very kind.
Layerstack, yes, you can draw. Its just a matter of (ick) practice, practice, practice. Start with a stick figure, then make it a round figure, then add shading. It may not look the way you want it to, at first, but if you keep at it, it will. Your style will be unique to yourself and that's a good thing. With the lovely imagination I see in your portfolio, drawing will give you wings to soar. You just have to keep at it to train your brain to draw.
JB, I'm not sure how much time I spent on this. Thank goodness for the two week entry deadline. I did a little bit here and a little bit there until I deemed it done. What you don't see in the SBS are all the failed experiments I tried. lol But when you're learning (and I'm *always* learning and practicing), experimenting is the thing to do. For instance, the light shine on the door. I kept wanting to make it streaky. I must have tried half a dozen times before it finally occurred to me that the light would probably be round. Its a good thing I find drawing to be relaxing. lol
Glockman, what we have here is a mutual jealousy society.
*I* envy *your* skill. But maybe, someday, if I keep trying....

My attempt at an updated version of Thomas Gainsborough's famous painting. (1 year and 294 days ago)
Very good, when I compare it with the original painting, I see a lot of changes in your version, but the details are still fitted together well
. I have some suggestions, hope they can help: the shadow on the left eyes is not consistent with the shadow of the nose down ward, so at the first glance, look like this boy was punched in the face. Second, the wheels under the board has no shadow, the board should make some shadow on its wheels. Third, the green highlight on the left side of the hair should be dark. All in all, the main thing you could improve is making the consistent shadow, as what Thomas Gainsborough did beautifully in his painting.
Wish you the best luck! Reply »
lol@ glockman I haven't changed anything, so it must be the drugs working for ya.

are the clouds dots? i can't see it... it looks blured Reply »

kek, the clouds were made by using a large, soft, reduced opacity brush and dotting them to shape. You can see the process better in the SBS by looking at the lowest cloud. But that's just the background used to enhance the focal point of the wolves. Thanks for asking. Reply »
